Terms of Service

ComputeArena publishes community-submitted performance measurements for local AI models and hardware. You can run and save benchmarks offline without an account; submission is a separate action. These terms cover the ComputeArena service, not separate software or model licences, which continue to apply.

The service is evolving. Features, scoring methods, and availability may change. Staging environments are for testing and may be reset; keep your own copies of reports. Do not rely on staging as permanent storage.

You must have the legal capacity and authority to agree to these terms. Use an account you control, choose a username that does not impersonate another person or organisation, and protect your Google account and CLI credentials. Approve a CLI connection only when you initiated it and the displayed code matches.

You are responsible for activity you authorise through your account and for profile information, country, and social links you choose to publish. Do not add misleading, unlawful, or unauthorised profile content. Contact us promptly if you suspect unauthorised access. We may restrict abusive or misleading usernames and profile content, and suspend access to protect users and the service.

Submit measurements you are authorised to collect and share. Do not fabricate results, alter a report to misrepresent a run, submit another person’s work as your own, or deliberately evade duplicate checks or validation. A valid signature is an integrity check, not independent verification of the hardware or measurements.

Before uploading, review the report and included logs. Submitted benchmark data is publicly accessible under your chosen username through a derived report, including the model, runtime, chip, backend, workload settings, and aggregate performance measurements. Telemetry, raw timing samples, signature and installation material, and storage metadata are omitted from that public view. You can retrieve your original report while signed in. Base Compute and its service providers still process and store the complete upload, so do not include secrets, confidential material, or personal information you are not authorised to provide.

You retain any rights you hold in your submissions. To operate ComputeArena, you grant Base Compute Pty. Ltd. a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free permission to store, reproduce, publish, display, and analyse them, and to create benchmark summaries. This permission is limited to operating and providing the service, including through necessary infrastructure providers. It does not transfer ownership.

Request removal at hi@basecompute.co. We may need to remove a whole signed report rather than modify it. Removal cannot recall copies already downloaded by others; backup retention and applicable legal obligations may also apply, as described in the Privacy Policy.

Do not use ComputeArena unlawfully, harass others, upload malware, access accounts or data without permission, overload the service, bypass access controls, or manipulate rankings. Respect reasonable API limits and the rights of model, software, hardware, and content owners.

We may reject, annotate, or remove submissions, correct derived statistics, and limit or suspend access where reasonably necessary to address abuse, unreliable data, security, or legal requirements. Contact us if you believe a decision is incorrect.

Benchmarks can place sustained load on your device, consume power and memory, and increase temperature. Run them only on hardware you are authorised to use, follow manufacturer guidance, and stop if conditions are unsafe.

Community results depend on model versions, quantisation, token counts, runtime settings, background load, and device conditions. They are not a guarantee of performance or a recommendation to buy hardware. Compare like-for-like configurations and independently check results important to your decisions.

Our Privacy Policy explains account information, public reports, essential cookies, retention, and privacy requests. Agreeing to these terms does not waive your data protection rights or give blanket consent for unrelated processing.

We aim to provide a useful service, but do not promise uninterrupted availability, error-free operation, or accuracy of user-submitted results. Keep backups of your own reports. To the extent permitted by law, the service is provided without additional warranties about its fitness for your particular purpose.

Nothing in these terms excludes, restricts, or modifies rights, guarantees, or remedies that cannot lawfully be excluded, including those under the Australian Consumer Law and applicable consumer or data protection laws in your jurisdiction. Any limitation here applies only to the extent the law permits.

We will publish revisions here with an updated date and provide notice of material changes where required. Changes are not intended to remove rights you already have under applicable law. If you do not agree to revised terms, stop using account and submission features and contact us about closing your account.
